You already know that regular exercise provides an abundance of health benefits like lowering blood pressure, improving sleep, reducing risk of cardiovascular disease and more, but sometimes actually getting up and moving is simply easier said than done.
If you’re one who cringes at the thought of running on a treadmill or picking up a weight over and over again, we’ve got great news: there are a ton of ways you can get yourself to work out. Known for training some of the biggest celebrities and influencers in the region, transformation expert and celebrity trainer, Yasir Khan, believes that fitness doesn’t solely aim at the physical body, it also includes emotional and social well-being and when combined, these areas enable a person to live their best life.
Stay on track with your fitness goals
· Push just a little bit harder: Just finished a high-intensity 20-minute run? Congrats! Now keep going because sometimes we're motivated enough to start a workout, but not enough to really challenge ourselves, which is where the true benefits take form. When you think you've finished, or you've reached your initially determined time, try adding on just three to five additional minutes.
· Measure your progress: Nothing motivates a person more than seeing progress being made. Write down your accomplishments every month so you have evidence of all the great stuff you have done.
· Find your motivation: Finding your motivation to workout is absolutely essential in ensuring that you stick to your exercise routine. Take the time to find out your specific motivation for working out, write it down, and reflect on it daily! Put a sign on your fridge, set reminders on your phone, keep a sticky note on your bathroom mirror. Make sure it is very specific and compelling enough to motivate you every single day.
