L'Officiel Arabia: How and when did you conceptualize Beverly Hills Beauty International Group?
Silva Dayan: I was always creative and curious, in a constant search for perfection. During my university years, I traveled a lot to gain experience, business skills and expand horizons. After a long-term trip to the US and personal acquaintance with Hollywood celebrities - Cher, Mickey Rourke, Brad Pitt, Pamela Anderson - the idea of creating beauty salons with a special philosophy and signature branding was born. It is about looking the best you can at whatever age, about feeling comfortable and happy in your own skin. When your work turns in to passion, you do wonders. Therefore, I started business in Cyprus, where I lived with my family, then we opened in Austria, US, and later I proudly became the president of the World Antiaging Association (principality of Monaco). I see my mission as beauty mentor and philanthropist. That is why I do not limit myself to one company or even field of activity. We are currently developing a Beverly Hills Beauty International group franchise and are open for cooperation. My team has already gained experience and is ready to train and launch in new countries. The business that exists requires my constant time and attention. The beauty business is very complex, especially because of fierce competition. In addition, now in Switzerland, the laboratory has developed and is already testing a new formula for the molecular restoration of any damaged hair, and we will soon present a new product to the market. I want to make women attractive, healthy and happy. I want to help both women and men gain inner freedom and self-confidence. My both projects (Beverly Hills Beauty International group and World Anti-aging Association) are about that.
L'O A: Your story is impressive; tell us, what motivated you to be a businesswoman?
SD: I had no doubts or fears at the very beginning of entrepreneurial activity. Personally, I have no fears. If I decide to do something, I do it confidently and with passion. My motivation is success and reward. Turning passion into profit is the idea behind my projects. And of course, happiness fuels success. I like to make people happy, motivated and fill them with that energy as well. I want to give my audience a clear sense of confidence within my activities where I am partly an opinion leader. Moreover, I love the grateful energy of my consumers and followers.
L'O A: Who has inspired you the most?
SD: Honestly, no one in the beauty industry inspires me significantly. I live in different dimension; I do not have any idols. And I’m driven by motivation only.
L'O A: What are you reading now?
SD: Right now, I am reading Maye Musk's book ‘A Woman Makes a Plan: Advice for a Lifetime of Adventure, Beauty, and Success’. I have a couple more interesting books on the queue; it is a pity that I do not have enough time to read all the time. I mostly like to read classics and business literature.
L'O A: Have you been to the UAE? If yes, how was your experience?
SD: Yes, I have been and truly can say that I’m totally in love with the UAE and Arabian culture and people in general. As a beauty expert, I can say that the first thing that I noticed was how both men and women take care of themselves. It’s really nice to see them all always well-groomed and, of course, cannot help but say, pay special attention to perfumes. Arabian fragrances are known for their nice scents and local aroma industry is one of the leading now and spreading over the world so fast. I’m one of those people who are obsessed with Arabian colognes.
Well, I can name so many things more that I love about the Middle East: Zaha Hadid’s projects, flawless service and wellness centers, outstanding designs of Elie Saab, Georges Hobeika, Rami Kadi and other Arabian brands, the style of incredible women such as HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Queen Rania of Jordan and more and more! You can see that the Middle East region takes a special place in my heart, and I often come here for vacations – Dubai and Qatar are my top ones. As a wellness-addict, I’m also looking forward to SHA Emirates, a 5-star wellness clinic, that is set to open in 2026. It will be located in Qasr Al Jurf, Emirati Riviera. Moreover, it would be strange not to plan to expand my business to the Arabian countries with all my love that I have for them.
L'O A: What's next for Silva?
SD: In the nearest future I believe we could hold the World Anti-aging Association Awards in Dubai – fingers crossed it happens. In addition, if to talk about my global plans, we are now considering the building of anti-aging clinic from our association in the Middle East. I’m looking to the future as successful entrepreneur. We need to have a plan for being happy, healthy and beautiful. It’s my lifetime project with uncommon ambition. Combination of mental and physical health, inner wellness, self-discipline, routine and good habits along with newest innovations, technologies, conscious care by products with effective compositions. A beauty that has meaning.
