CHANEL 2021/22 Métiers d'art Collection Campaign

The 2021/22 Métiers d'art collection campaign celebrated the virtuosity of CHANEL’s artisan partners.

In a series of films and photographs, Mikael Jansson captures the silhouettes imagined by Virginie Viard that were presented in December 2021 at le19M, the new Parisian site created by CHANEL and dedicated to the Fashion Métiers d'art.

Mica Argañaraz, Loli Bahia and Adit Priscilla stand out against a white backdrop, as they embody this metropolitan and sophisticated collection with grace and daring. Here, a relaxed attitude sets off a two-tone sequin ensemble. There, hands placed on the hips or thrust into the pockets of long skirts echo the assertive postures adopted by Gabrielle Chanel herself. The embroideries by the Montex and Lesage ateliers, of trompe-l'oeil cuff bracelets or woven gold threads inspired by the structure of le19M, respond to a wealth of multicoloured tweeds.

Through these refined shots, the photographer captures the essence of CHANEL, illuminated by a graphic accumulation of sautoir necklaces, bracelets, Byzantine brooches made by Goossens along with other jewelled buttons, thus highlighting the creative dialogue between Virginie Viard and the Maisons d'art.

The CHANEL 2021/22 Métiers d'art collection will be available in boutiques from June 9th 2022.
