Dolce&Gabbana brings the magic of the Holidays to the theatre

 

Dolce&Gabbana brings the magic of the Holidays to the theatre: a show in grand style, illuminated by the tradition of Sicilian lights and immersed in the atmosphere of an international musical, sparkling and full of joy. From accessories to make-up, from jewellery to lifestyle collaborations, every detail is a tale of crafts and love for Fatto a Mano, presented amidst music, lights and tap dance steps.

The video of the 2021 #DGHolidays campaign is a special project achieved in stop motion, obtained from studio animations set in an entirely hand-made scenography that reproduces a typical street of theatres. The small mannequins representing Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, protagonists of this exciting show, have been modelled and 3D printed, with joints specially designed to allow micro-movements. The faces and accessories of the miniatures have been finished and painted by hand and the clothes made to measure in the Dolce&Gabbana tailor workshops.

The Designers will accompany the viewer to discover the perfect gift, dancing and singing, thanks to a computerized lip-sync technique, to the light-hearted notes of “La notte è piccola” by the Kessler Twins. In the background, the coloured lights of the illuminations are reflected on the large windows of the theatres and on the posters complete with every smallest detail. The 2021 #DGHolidays campaign transports everyone to the unmistakable universe of Dolce&Gabbana’s Holiday Season.
