The Italians know how to celebrate in style. And what better way to toast the opening of Dubai's brand new Dolce & Gabbana boutique than with a HUGE runway show in the middle of the world’s largest shopping mall?

Staging their first ever catwalk show in the Middle East, Domenico Dolce and Stephano Gabbana presented “Day & Night”, a vast showcase of menswear, womenswear and a selection of specially-designed regional exclusives to a VIP-packed front row, smack bang in the centre of the Dubai Mall. Literally the hottest ticket in town, with the region’s fashion elite front and centre, resplendent in this season’s most beautiful D&G looks, in typical Dolce & Gabbana style, the flamboyant designer duo ensured that this was one show this city of ‘Firsts’ would never forget.

“The reason we present shows in different locations throughout the globe is because we want to share our culture and the Dolce & Gabbana brand DNA with the world,” said the designers ahead of the show. “With these different shows, we try to mix our DNA with the DNA of the country, because we don’t want to colonize anyone’s culture — we love and respect all cultures.”
