DOUGLAS COUPLAND X VALENTINO
Maison Valentino has teamed up with Douglas Coupland to create a capsule collection of sweatshirts and t-shirts featuring evocative quotes from the author. The items will be available exclusively online starting from September.
Douglas Coupland is a Canadian writer and visual artist. His first novel is the 1991 international bestseller, Generation X: Tales for an Accelerated Culture. He published fourteen novels, three collections of short stories, eight nonfiction books, and a number of works for stage, film, and television. In 2014, Coupland’s first major solo art exhibition debuted at the Vancouver Art Gallery, after which the show toured to museums internationally. His most recent book released in October 2021 is Binge, and available through local bookstores.
This year, the Maison and the author have come together to create the “Pink PP Seen by Douglas Coupland” booklet, exclusively created on the occasion of the Valentino Pink PP Fall/ Winter 2022-23 show, and for “Valentino the Narratives II”, the second chapter of the wordsonly advertising campaign in collaboration with renowned international writers.
The collaboration is now renewed with the latest capsule “Douglas Coupland x Valentino”, composed by two cotton sweatshirts and two t-shirts in the exclusive Pink PP color and black version tone on tone printed with four different messages: “WE ALL HAVE SECRET MESSAGES HIDDEN WITHIN US”, “BEAUTY HAS KIND OF BECOME AN ACT OF REBELLION”, “MY BRAIN FEELS LIKE FRIDGE MAGNET POETRY”, “I MISS MY PRE-INTERNET BRAIN”.
Once again, Maison Valentino strengthens its bond with the literary world and celebrates the Pink PP collection as a sign, a code, an identity: a powerful, unrepeatable and engaging fashion statement.
