Discover The Latest Displays at Opera Gallery

The top floor of the gallery is dedicated to a curated selection of modern masters, showcasing works by Hans Hartung and Pierre Soulages among others.

Also on view are two canvases by Viennese Actionism artist Hermann Nitsch. While the painting BFI_16_21, extremely representative of Nitsch’s historical body of work, features deep and rich hues of red, HF_07_19 includes yellow in the color palette.

New works from Manolo Valdés have recently been installed, most notably two medium size canvases featuring the artist’s iconic take on portraiture, alongside three variations of Menina sculptures, each in a different finish, showcasing Manolo’s ability to play with colors and reflections.

Display two oil on canvases paintings by Fernando Botero, as well as a selection of iconic small size canvases from Andy Warhol. The lower ground floor is dedicated the work of Rashid Al Khalifa, a Bahraini artist whose practice derives fundamental rules of the region’s architecture into metal wall pieces.

Artworks are from the “Spectrum”, “Parametric” and “Circles” series. Each series invites the viewers to dwell into the law of repetitions, the artworks being very symmetrical and presenting soft shades of colors. Also exhibited are significant works from Alexander Calder, Bernard Buffet, Joan Mirò and Fernand Leger.

We are pleased to welcome you to the gallery during the holiday season and discover these exciting new works.
