This August, leading lifestyle brand GANT has launched its Pre-Fall 2022 collection across all stores in the region as well as online on GANT.AE. The preppy style is back with a vengeance this season, but with a spin- a collection brimming with modern varsity and a hint of rebellion.
The first drop, ‘Fair Play’, follows the 70’s classic tennis colors with white, cream and sporty green; accented with navy, pink, and light blue to add that end-of-summer touch. It is in GANT’s DNA to embody those retro-sporty vibes, and this collection does just that - think authentic terry badges and cursive logos placed on varsity jackets, letterman sweaters, and jersey programs. Together with Racquet Club graphics, laurel wreaths, and classic crossed racquets that make the East Coast ivy homage come alive.
The second drop, ‘The Detention’, has a collegiate twist to the ordinary athleisure style. Whilst white, navy, and beige set the tone for the upcoming fall season, striking newness of purple and black hues accompanied by shades of soft-mint and pink are splashed across the collection, together with delicate hand-drawn tennis court scenery prints placed on silk fabrics and fluid paisley prints.
Better yet, the collection is a part of ‘The Year of Cotton’ where GANT has continued their sustainable pledge, with all pieces in the collection ethically made from organic cotton. Born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1949, GANT’s heritage is forever intertwined with the American East Coast.
