Black by nature, oud wood is one of the most mysterious materials of perfumery. But from black, every colour can be drawn... With Oud Khôl, Oud Nude, and Cherry Oud, the Guerlain Perfumers have given three novel olfactory colours to the sumptuous Oud Assam. Shedding new light on the noble ingredient, they unveil it to reveal its softness, disinhibit it to exalt its majesty, or on the contrary, exacerbate its density until it turns blacker than black.

Oud Khôl: The darkest tones of oud wood are revealed by the vision of the Guerlain Perfumer in this blacker than black fragrance, with its somber accents of smoky wood and leather.

Oud Nude: Laid bare, oud wood reveals an unexpected, carnal sensuality. A woody ambery, warm and spicy fragrance crafted by the Guerlain Perfumer in a luminous harmony of nude tones.

Cherry Oud: Unveiling its most devastating crimson facets, oud wood takes on the lacquered shine of a cherry red note. Shaken up by the Guerlain Perfumer, it reveals itself in a fruity floral wood with mysterious accents.

The bottle of L’Art & La Matière can be personalised in myriad ways. The plate that crowns the cap can be chosen from a variety of beautiful materials and colours dear to the House. More committed than ever to supporting young contemporary creation, the House has turned to the artist Ghizlane Agzenaï, a rising star of urban art in Morocco, to imagine a new collection plate celebrating the thousand and one colours of oud wood. More than a choice, the match was self-evident.
