Marco de Vincenzo has been tapped by Marina Rinaldi, Max Mara Group’s label dedicated to women with curves and plus-size figures, to design two capsule collections.

The first capsule, created for the fall 2021 season, has already hit the Marina Rinaldi boutiques, as well as the brand’s online store.

Previously, Marina Rinaldi worked with a range of designers, including Tsumori Chisato, Stella Jean, Fausto Puglisi, Roksanda Ilincic and Antonio Berardi.

“This capsule collection is very me. I brought my own signature style and concept of women who strike the fine balance between fun and sexy to Marina Rinaldi to create a wardrobe that isn’t timeless because it’s basic, but because it’s designed to sustain creative value over time”, says Marco de Vincenzo about his partnership with Marina Rinaldi, beginning with the Fall/Winter 21/22 collection. Thinking of the brand’s customers as women who collect unconventional garments, de Vincenzo has incorporated surprising materials and shades — a quirk of his — and, together with Marina Rinaldi, explores a rich array of vibrant and positive colors.

“An eco-fur coat with a four-color dégradé effect might seem scary on paper, but it really works. It’s high fashion. I see this as my contribution to Marina Rinaldi whose partnership with me, like other designers before me, will help the brand to grow and strengthen its identity,” adds de Vincenzo.
