Isola Restaurant to Host Exclusive 5-Course Dinner Experience with Grape Expert Alessio Planeta for One Night Only, on Monday, May 29th

Welcoming discerning diners on a remarkable culinary journey this month, Isola Restaurant presents an immersive five-course set-menu inspired by the magical flavors of renowned Sicilian grape producer, Planeta. The intimate event will start from 7:30pm on Monday, May 29th, featuring authentic Italian dishes paired with a selection of alcoholic beverages, some of which will be offered for the first time in the city, and for one night only.

A tribute to both Isola and Planeta’s noteworthy flavors and creations, Isola’s Brand Chef Francesco Bagnato will be the host for the evening, together with Alessio Planeta, Owner and Winemaker for Planeta, and a Board Member of the Consorzio Sicilia Doc: a leading organization created to preserve and promote Sicily’s grape varieties, the quality of their products, and to guarantee their true origin.

The experience will begin with a warm welcome toast and a fresh Pinsa Marinara Isolana paired with Planeta Rose, with a fresh and fruity touch, encompassing all the feels of a Sicilian summer. For starters, Carpaccio di Branzino featuring seabass carpaccio and spicy mango will be coupled with Eruzione 1614 Carricante, an ultimate companion for dishes of the sea. Ricciola Camouflage is to then follow with Chardonnay, before the Tortelli di Costine di Manzo con Crema al Parmigiano pasta is presented with homemade short ribs tortelli, parmesan cream, and Sito dell’Ulmo Merlot. Guests will then have the opportunity to savor the Guancia di Manzo al Balsamico, a succulent beef cheek with the exotic Didacus Cabernet Franc, before the grand finale. Delectable dessert options include a choice of Bianco mangiare or Cannolo di Ricotta with Passito di Noto, an explosive aroma of exotic fruit, jasmine, and citrus flavors.
