L’Officiel LOVES a beautiful coffee table book, and when one of the latest launches happens to be dedicated to our all-time favourite supermodel, there’s no chance we won’t be snapping up a copy.
Launched at an intimate cocktail party hosted by photographer Mario Sorrenti at MatchesFashion.com’s new five story townhouse in London, 5 Carlos Place, an array of fashion’s finest turned out to celebrate the launch of KATE, a collection of 50 portraits of a young Kate Moss, captured by her then boyfriend, Mario.
Now one of the most iconic faces in contemporary fashion and culture, the book features never before seen portraits of the Croydon-born catwalker on the brink of international stardom.
Presented in a grey, cloth-covered clamshell box that includes an introductory essay by Sorrenti, KATE contains the actual pictures that were seen by Calvin Klein, inspiring the house's 1993 Obsession campaign, which contributed to building Moss's era-defining modelling career.
