L'Officiel Arabia reveals award design created by NFT Artist Patrick Moritz

L’Officiel Arabia award will be held on October 30 at Waldorf Astoria the palm towards the end of the Web3 Evolve conference. The conference starts at 11am with the much awaited NFT launch for L’Officiel Arabia followed by the conference which will highlight various topics through the eyes of speakers who are the industry experts from various brands representing Web3.

Meet the artist

Patrick Moritz is the creator of Dubai’s most popular homegrown NFT project DubaiPeeps. He has been a resident of Dubai for the past 14 years and has always been appreciative of the UAE for its opportunities and forward thinking. That was one of the reasons why he wanted to give back and created an NFT collection as an homage to the people who are living in Dubai. Being an artist (real life sculptor) and someone who is interested in crypto currency, he saw a unique opportunity to create an exclusive community that shares the same passion. Dubai is built on vision, great ethics and the networking effect, which is exactly what the DubaiPeeps project offers to its community members. The collections holds 1000 NFTs only that are all uniquely crafted with their own story and identity just like us humans in the real world.

What was the idea behind the award design?

“The idea behind the sculpture was to reflect on our evolution from past towards present.

Since that is a broad spectrum I wanted to showcase my vision in different ways for the spectators to interpret.

One way of seeing it is a digital low resolution that slowly transitions into a smooth high res., including an uphill path that has eventually taken us there.

Yet I believe there is so much more…

Moving from the Web1.0 to the now Web3.0 space is a significant journey most of us have experienced with plenty of ups and downs.

Now after all this time we are shifting into an era of digital ownership, independence and power that the people can finally reclaim.

The sculpture represents victory not just for the beginning of a new area but also for the amazing creators who participate in this movement and have won this prestigious award tonight” says Moritz.
