New Liv Luttrell 2022 Editions
Each of these new designs is a product of Liv’s creative process, abstracting and simplifying forms until they reach a point of balance. They signify the development of Liv’s signature style, combining bold forms, flowing lines and a carefully developed lightness and elegance.
‘In this series of Editions, I explore working the gold to give it the flow and lightness of fabric curving around the body. Textures of the brightest diamonds and satin hand textured gold add light and shade and bring a changing plain to the eyes.’
Creating a sense of motion was central to the development of this new series. The gemstones and diamonds sourced by Liv are meticulously placed to accentuate this feeling of movement.
‘My goldsmith manipulates the metal by hand to realise the movement in the pieces. It takes real skill to create a curve that seems to flow like water when in reality the work has created a powerful tension in the metal. This contrast is interesting to me.’
When creating a series of pieces celebrating the handmade nature of each is always at the core of Liv’s work. All of the sculptural forms in this series are created by hand by Liv’s team of craftsmen in her London workshops using 100% recycled gold and ethically sourced diamonds.
STRATA EARRINGS with a diamond Edge
These earrings are finely made of contrasting layers of polished white and yellow gold with lateral plains that are edged with mirror polish and bright white diamonds.
STRATUM EAR CUFF with a diamond Edge
Delicate layers of contrasting white and yellow gold are punctuated with fine lines of bright white diamonds. Sitting easily in the middle of the ear this single earring are worn with no ear piercing.
STRATUM BANGLE with a diamond Edge
This bangle rises up from the wrist in waves of texture. The satin polish contrasting with the shine of highly polished white or yellow gold. The crisp curving edges shimmer with white diamonds and mirror polish.
FOLDE RING with a diamond edge
The dramatic crest of cognac and champagne diamonds rise from the finger on a wave of contrasting textures of satin and mirror polish gold.
SPEAR TIP EARRINGS
The dramatic geometry of these gold, silk textured finish ear drops are dramatically punctuated by 5 sided Cadillac cut fine white diamonds.
SCHIUMA RINGS with a diamond Edge
Dramatic when layered or worn alone, these rings curl around the finger, rising from a satintextured gold to a crest of handset diamonds - with a choice of cognac and champagne diamonds on the yellow gold ring and bright white diamonds on the white gold ring.
