Schiaparelli: Precious and Desirable

Minimalist in its rectangular shape with double gusset, the Face Bag surprises with its decorative ornament inspired by the history of the House: it features a trompe-l'oeil face imbued with the surrealist aesthetic of Schiaparelli, composed of an eye inspired by the one drawn by Jean Cocteau for a jewel by Schiaparelli in 1937 on the one hand, a nose and a golden mouth which refers to the collaboration between Dali and Elsa Schiaparelli for the Bouches suit from the Haute-Couture collection of the winter of 1937-1938 on the other hand. These anatomical jewels are made of brass for the nose and mouth, and enameled brass for the eyes.

Made in France, this elegant handbag combines the creative audacity of the House with the know-how of fine leather goods. Its smooth leather comes in three timeless colors: black, brucciato and beige, and in a black sheepskin-effect shearling for the Fall-Winter 2022 collection. Both precious and practical, it multiplies signature and functional details: its lambskin lining “shocking rose” composed of two compartments separated by a large zipped pocket and two patch pockets, its “Schiaparelli, 21 Place Vendôme Paris” logo stamped in gold ink on the back of the bag and its detachable chunky hammered shoulder strap chain attached by rings at the start of the handles.
