Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA) a world-class performing arts powerhouse, staged an moving rendition of Fahrenheit 451, the 1953 dystopian novel by Ray Bradbury. The intimate performance was held exclusively for industry professionals and members of the performing arts community, wowing audiences and giving the skilled fourth year students a chance to exhibit their talents.

Fahrenheit 451 tells the tale of an American society where books have been outlawed and "firemen" burn any that are found. It is named for the fact that at 451° paper catches fire and burns. The fourth year cohorts shared their adaptation of the thought-provoking novel to a captivated audience of media, industry professionals, fellow students and critics during a three night stint. Taking place at the Studio Theatre, the talented students were able to showcase the skills they have honed during their four years of education at the academy, demonstating their talents in acting, stage management, lighting and sound design. The enthralling performance was directed by SPAA’s Programme Leader for Postgraduate Studies – Heather Davies.
