THAT Concept Store Present their Latest CSR Initiative: A Unique Art Collaboration with ARTKORERO

THAT Concept Store in partnership with ArtKorero has launched its first in-store pop-up gallery in collaboration with British artist Nat Bowen

THAT Concept Store has introduced a new and exciting CSR project, ARTKORERO X THAT - their first in-store pop-up gallery in collaboration with art consultancy ArtKorero. The unique and exciting partnership will focus on hosting a series of inspirational artist-led activations, kicking off this month with renowned British abstract artist Nat Bowen, to create a unique pop-up experience located in the Art and Culture Space on the second floor of THAT Concept Store, in Mall of the Emirates.

Nat Bowen is globally recognized and respected for her vibrant multi-layered resin paintings, which principally adopt the psychology behind colour, communicating nonverbally through colour to produce scenes of sensory delight.  Her work centres on the practice of wellbeing, meditation, and mental health by using the creation of her artwork to manage these areas of life.

Bowen will be the first in the series to grace the Art and Culture Space of THAT Concept Store to put on an eclectic show that visitors can enjoy from July till September, where customers can explore and discover a dynamic selection of the artist’s work, with the addition of new pieces and artworks throughout the exhibition. These will be joined by a showcase of a range of one-off and bespoke pieces. The collaboration also gives THAT Concept Store clients the exclusive opportunity to have their merchandise customized by the artist herself.

“I am delighted to be showing my artwork at THAT Concept Store as my first retail collaboration in Dubai. The store is full of unique and exquisite brands and I am excited to be exhibiting my work within the new context of this contemporary space. ArtKorero and the creative team at THAT Concept Store have shared in my creative vision for the show and it has been a fun journey bringing it to life.” Nat BowenArtist

The nature of the collaboration reflects THAT Concept Store’s values and dedication to being a hub of community, culture, commitment, and innovation, employing a collaborative ethos that alludes to operating business in a way that drives a positive change. This CSR initiative touches every part of the business and is reinforced by a brand position, which challenges and rethinks what is possible in luxury retail through creativity and innovation-driven by bold initiatives that are designed to have a meaningful impact on local communities, industry partners, and clients.

“We’re beyond excited to partner with THAT Concept Store in the creation of our first retail X art pop-up space. THAT Concept Store truly understands the power artists have to transform a retail space into an immersive and culturally relevant environment. They’ve been instrumental in bringing this collaboration to life. Over the coming months, ArtKorero will present both International and UAE based artists within the ArtKorero X THAT pop-up, launching with the incredible artist Nat Bowen. A master of colour and light, Nat immediately came to mind when we commenced our curation for THAT’s light-filled atrium. We can’t wait to share her incredible designs with visitors to the store and Mall of the Emirates.” Chimere Cisse, Founder of ArtKorero.
