UAE’s first NFT and award winning artist to create limited edition artificial intelligence NFT edition for L’Officiel Arabia

The UAE’s first NFT and award winning artist, Amrita Sethi collaborates with L’Officiel Arabia to create her first formal venture into artificial intelligence (AI) art merged with her signature style of SoundBYTEs to create a limited and special edition NFT series called the “Essence of Arabia” series. Joining hands with the pioneer of NFT’s in the region as well as other local artists L’Officiel wants to empower the creator economy by embracing local talent that is going places in the global space. Through a luxury metaverse event to be held on Oct 30 at Waldorf Astoria the Palm, the luxury and lifestyle magazine joins other global publishers in the Web3 space.

Meet the Artist

Amrita Sethi was the first artist from the UAE to launch her NFT portfolio with her unique genre of art called SoundBYTEs in 2020.

She launched her 2D portfolio and was the first NFT artist to create a 2D Animation with Audio. Allowing people to “see sound” through her art. Since then she has gone on to be the first in the region to add augmented reality to her art and painted one of the world’s largest Augmented reality murals at the DIFC. She has ventured in to creating sculptures in the real world as well as in The Metaverse and the collection she is launching with L’Officiel merges AI art with her award winning SoundBYTE collection.

Amrita’s SoundBYTEs represent the concept that “A word is worth a thousand pictures” and through AI she can now bring those words to life. She hand-draws the word prompts over the AI art through the soundwave capture. 

Amrita launched her SoundBYTE’s- her first NFT portfolio on Virtua which is a digital eco system that allows people to share, trade and collect 2D and 3D digital assets such as crypto art, Non Fungible Tokens (NFT’s) and other collectibles, in both VR and AR.

She also has also created various other collections- The AlphaBYTES where she combines her own language with sound,  and The CrystalBYTEs where she has created a mindful meditation metaverse sculpture in virtual reality and has released her NFT collections on other platforms such as OpenSea and through her own smart contracts.

“If last year was Year of the NFT’s and this year was the Year of the Metaverse, next year will be the Year of AI” Amrita says. There are plenty of conversations that say that AI art could replace artists “AI will provide a new tool for artists to express themselves, the collection I have created for L’Officel uses AI combined with my SoundBYTEs style where I have overlaid the word prompts to create the artwork- showing that a word can literally be worth a 1,000 pictures”.
