L'Officiel Arabia: When did you decide to be a digital influencer?

 

Farhana Bodi: I’ve always been fond of the Fashion and a beauty industry . I started my career as a Make Up Artist and ventured out into the fashion world as a Model . And I’ve ever since then been shooting content and posting on my Facebook back then it was more Facebook and then when instagram started I had a private account which I made public after In 2014 I started a blog and started to post content.

LOA: Tell us more about your blog - Women of the World

FB: I woman of the world is a platform which empowers and inspires women from all walks of life . I support and promote female talents and any activities or events related to female via this platform . I also introduce female start up brands creating media exposure and clients . I also have a VIP guest list service which I provide to brands and host events for the brands .

 

LOA: Who has been your biggest inspiration in your life?

FB: My mom has always been an incredible inspiration for me she taught me and my sisters  in the house that nothing is impossible to achieve. She taught us to become independent and empowered us. She taught us how important it is to be self made and independent and not to rely on anyone for anything . She is a strong woman and I have so much respect for her.

LOA: How has the UAE influenced you and your career ?

FB: UAE is literally a dream . It’s larger then life out here it has opened endless opportunities for me in my career and I love this country and I call it my second home . Living here has taught me that never stop dreaming big . It’s has opened up major doors for me in the industry and I am loving it .

LOA: How did the collaboration with Jacob & Co come about?

FB: I met Mr Jacob and His Wife through common friends and we decided to collaborate during my birthday dinner I hosted in January where the theme was Bombay- Paris and i was looking for the best statement pieces to wear for this special occasion . I had a meeting with the brand in the store where I spotted the Rare touch diamond choker and glove and I was blown away and immediately decided that it was the jewllery I will wear. The look was a big hit during my dinner and I introduced some great clients to the brand and it was a super successful collaboration and that’s how it all started and we decided to do a cover and that’s how it all went.

LOA: What next for Farhana?

FB: I am currently working on a product launch and few things in the pipe line which cannot be revealed just yet so you have to wait and see. I also have big plans to enter there TV Industry to host my own show so right now I am working super hard towards my goals.
