Orchard Moon Launches Abayas Collection at ATAYA Exhibition in Abu Dhabi
The collection now expands with the launch of Abayas in the Emirates, in collaboration with independent female-owned Abaya brand Nouf Alsudairi, present with several stores across Saudi Arabia.
Orchard Moon founder Gabrielle and Nouf met in London in November, when Nouf visited the pop-up store in which the brand debuted for the first time since its launch. They instantaneously became friends who quickly brainstormed ideas for this limited edition collection.
The new Abayas feature the classic Orchard Moon hand painted prints inspired by the beauty of nature and are made with the same luxurious plant-based, vegan, cruelty-free fabrics as the pyjamas, which mimic all the best qualities of silk. The fabric is a medium-weight silky cellulose-based fabric, using TENCEL™ combined with lyocell filament.
The Abayas are exquisitely cut, floor length, multi-way robes which can wrap over the front, can be left open or can be tied around the waist with the accompanying long fabric belt. The belt itself can also double up as a skinny scarf, hair tie or handbag scarf.
They can be worn over a matching pyjama suit, paired with complimentary basics, or at the beach over a swimsuit, and are truly a versatile addition to any wardrobe.
About the ATAYA Exhibition
ATAYA, which means ‘giving’ in Arabic, is a charity fashion exhibition, organised by Emirates Red Crescent under the Patronage of HH Sheikha Shamsa Bint Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan. It runs from 28th February – 4th March from 3pm-10pm at the Jiu-Jitsu Arena in Abu Dhabi.
Members of the public are welcome to visit for a unique shopping experience brought by some of the finest fashion brands in the Emirates. This year marks the return of the ATAYA show after two years. Proceeds raised from the exhibition are donated to charitable causes around the world.
